
At 1:45, Thursday, the Monticello Fire & Rescue Team was paged out to the report of a Ford pick-up that missed the HWY 278 curve at the east entrance to Wilmar, and crashed into a nearby wooded area.
Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies worked the accident, where a 31 year old Bryant resident was transported to JRMC by SEEMS. Dan’s Towing removed the vehicle.





















When a member of the Public Defender’s office stopped by their office, Saturday evening, to pick up a file, they found the building ramsacked, window blinds destroyed, tables turned over, and files strew all over the desks and floor.

When the Monticello Fire Dept. responded to the Turtle Creek Apt. fire, Thursday morning, they had no idea that a miniture Dachshund puppy was inside of one of the two apartments.
The pet’s owner, Ms. Raquella, when she realized that her apartment was filling with smoke, and possibly fire, told the firefighters, who were able to enter her apt., and remove the pet-carrier that little Mylia was waiting in.
