Free Fishing Days of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission this year will be from noon Friday, June 6, through midnight Sunday, June 8. No sport fisherman, resident or non-resident, will be required to have a fishing license or a trout permit to fish anywhere in Arkansas during this time.

Saturday, June 7, 9 a.m. they will be attending the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program state championship at the Remington Gun Club in Lonoke.

It may be 90 degrees outside, but it’s time to talk duck hunting at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Hunters can voice their opinions about the upcoming Arkansas waterfowl hunting regulations and seasons at one of 12 public meetings to be held around the state on Tuesday, June 3.

Fishing Tip:  “Skipping jigs under docks takes some time to learn. One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to skip is getting too close to the dock. You want to back away 10 to 15 feet from the dock and let the bait slide on the water’s surface.
