As Thursday afternoon’s rumors of $5.00/gallon gasoline echoed across Monticello by cell-phones and e-mails, lines formed at stores all over town.
But as Friday rolled around, we came as close to $4.00 as is possible.
Check back over the weekend. We’ll see together what happens as Hurricane Ike rolls into Texas
