Head Of The Class Set For “Knock-Out” Mini Miracle March IV, Nov. 14th

Untitled-1 copyHead of the Class Childcare & Learning Center of Monticello will sponsor its “Mini Miracle March IV…Help Knock Out Breast Cancer,” on Friday, November 14, at 10 a.m. According to co-owner/operator of the business, Rev. Shay Gillespie, the students, staff members, parents and friends of Head of the Class will march around the square block area that surrounds the facility, as well as the City Square. The procession is asked to gather no later than 9:45 a.m. at the business, located at 119 South Boyd Street. It will leave from there, circle the Square, turn left on Chester to Jackson….turn right on Jackson to South Boyd, back to the pre-school, where the group will release balloons and disband. child car safety seatArkansas Childrens Hospital, Monticello Police, and the Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. will be presenting a Car Seat Safety Clinic, Saturday morning from 10 am-noon, at First Baptist Chursh, to offer assistance to anyone who has questions about the use of child safety seats, or would like to have their current seats inspected by an expert.

The clinic is free, and a great opportunity to make sure you’re providing the safest conditions for your child that you can.

UAM Wildlife Society And AG&F Teach Royal Rangers About Arkansas Wildlife

imagejpeg_2New Life Assembly of God Royal Rangers would like to thank UAM Wildlife Society along with Arkansas Game and Fish for assisting our boys on Wednesday, October 15, in learning about Arkansas Wildlife.

The boys made casts of wildlife tracks and learned about the different wildlife in our area.  Arkansas Game and Fish provided pelts and other wildlife relics for the boys to explore.

We stand for those who cannot speak up due to fear of retribution and shame. We stand for the children (forgotten victims) who are exposed.
Please come join us for a candlelight vigil to remember those we have lost due to domestic violence and to recognize domestic violence survivors.

School Board Updated on Plans, Progress, Reports, & Concerns

A number of reports were reviewed and approved, including the Accident Prevention and Safety Plan, the District Crisis Plan, Emergency Action Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.The Board also approved the district’s Workmen’s Compensation Plan for 2014-2015.
