Kirby Ramos is a 55 year old artist from the Osage Nation. He’ll be at Scissortail’s Trading Post on Friday and Saturday, April 24-25, from noon til 5 pm.
He’ll have several unique handcarved items available, signing autographs, and taking pictures. His work is well know throughout Indian Country.
Kirby’s work is also featured at the National Museum of the American Indian-Smithsonian Institute in NY & DC.
A Drew County man was found guilty of 2 counts of harassing communications and a count of harassment, in Circuit Court, Wednesday, in his appeal of an earlier District Court case.
Cleanup efforts are continuing throughout the county. As I have been out and about this week, I’ve noticed that the state has had contractors picking up garbage on the major highways, which ties in nicely with the work that the city and county have been doing. MHS Choir and Madrigals earned all Superior 1st Division ratings and Sweepstakes, which is a first for Madrigals, at the STATE CPA on Friday. Their performance also earned them an unprecedented standing ovation from competing schools. You will be proud to know that our students represented the school and community well.
Choir invites you to their annual spring concert this Thursday @ 6:30 p.m. in the MMS Auditorium.

The Dedication of the Sesquicentennial Civil War Monument at the Old State House Museum was conducted by the Arkansas Division United Daughters of the Confederacy on Saturday, April 18th in Little Rock.
