We have completed another week at the Capitol filled with rumors and suggestions as to how our state government may change in the next legislative session. One new program has become a reality. You may remember it was announced earlier that the state would sell its In-home Health Services program to a private company. Well that has become a reality. The Arkansas Department of Health has sold its in-home health care operations to Louisville, Kentucky-based Kindred Healthcare for $39 million after a competitive bidding process. Court began, Wednesday, with Myron Briggs, the alleged murder defendant, taking the stand, in his own defense.
When asked by his attorney, Briggs told the court that he is a felon, has been to prison, and in currently in ADC, for his parole being revoked, due to the current charges.
The Drew Central school board met in special session, Tuesday evening, and agreed to hire a new football coach.
