UAM Chamber and Concert Choirs to Feature in SEARK Recital

The Chamber and Concert Choirs at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) will perform at the annual SEARK Concert Association’s concert, “How Sweet the Sound,” on November 17 at 3:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center at UAM. Following the performance, guests are invited to a reception.
“How Sweet the Sound” is a musical celebration of both the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, featuring a variety of performances. In addition to renditions by the UAM Chamber and Concert Choirs, the program will include the Dickens Carolers and Brass Street Band, local children’s choirs and a mass community choir performance of excerpts from “The Messiah,” accompanied by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

On December 11, 2023, agents from the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force apprehended Amanda Adair following an investigation that revealed substantial involvement in narcotics trafficking. Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force Agents had received a tip regarding James Phelps, who was allegedly buying and selling methamphetamine. According to sources, Phelps was in the company of a white female in a silver SUV, later identified as Adair. (more…)
