2022 Monticello Marlins Summer Swim Team Registration Information

The Monticello Marlins Swim Team is open for girls and boys ages 5 to 18. The Monticello Marlins are a summer only competitive swim team. Swimmers will work on perfecting the basic strokes of freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly stroke and backstroke.

500 Ton/Day Waste to Energy Gasification Facility Coming to SEARK

Thursday, the SouthEast Arkansas Economic Development District heard and approved a presentation to establish a “waste to electricity” recycling facility in southeast Arkansas, specifically at the Chicot County landfill site, near Lake Village.

The facility can process 500 tons per day of everyday household trash, which will use a rotary kiln to create steam, which makes electricity. Recyclable metals, as shown in the article, passed through the system, and our recycled through appropriate channels. The leftover material from the process has several construction usages.
