Local Storage Sales not “Wars,” like on TV

Saturday morning, University Storage, on Bowser Road at HWY 425, held a legally publicized storage building auction.

Unlike on TV’s “Storage Wars,” around a dozen people were present, with no yelling or confrontations taking place.

The auctions began with the locks being cut, followed by the balance being owed for rent being announced, and asking if anyone would pay that amount.

At that point, the items inside became property of the facility, owner, who ask if anyone would make an offer.

An offer of $300 from a local business person bought two of the storage sheds and everyone left. “happy enough.”

1:30 Crash at EZ-Mart, Friday, Send Driver to DMH

According to sources, the driver of the PT Cruiser (shown in the background) allegedly pulled out in front of the Dodge Challenger, around 1:30 pm, Friday afternoon, near the EZ Mart intersection of Hyatt and Gaines Street.

The driver of the Challenger was transported to Drew, Memorial Hospital, by SEEMS, and Rods Wrecker towed their vehicle.

The PT cruiser was able to drive away from the crash.

Seark Miracle League Games Scheduled For Saturday Starting at 9am

Two Miracle League games are scheduled for Saturday 10-01-2022. Starting at 9am the Red Warriors will face off against the Purple Legends, followed by the Blue Heroes taking on the Green Champions at 10am. Everyone is welcome to come out to the Miracle League field at the Monticello Sports Complex on Hwy 278 and cheer on these amazing athletes. There will be a concession stand available at all Saturday games (cokes, chips, candy, gum)
