At 3:22 PM, Monday afternoon, there was a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Winchester Road and Highway 278 E.
Vehicle’s involved included a Toyota Sienna and a Chevrolet Impala. Sources at the scene indicate that the Impala was traveling westbound and the van was traveling east, and attempting to turn north.
The driver of the Chevy, and all four passengers of the Toyota were transported to Drew Memorial Hospital for medical care.
Agencies responded included MPD, MFD, MASI, ASP, Reggie‘s Wrecker and Rangel Towing.
Dr. Brandy Haley, of the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), has been nominated to receive an ARNA DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award from the Arkansas Nurses Association (ARNA). Members of the ARNA Practice Council will determine the final awardees, who will be recognized at the annual ARNA Gala and DAISY Awards on November 3 in Little Rock. 
The Desha/Drew County regular monthly meeting was held September 21, 2023 at the UAM Forestry and Agriculture Building at 7 PM.
