The Monticello Police Department, along with Walmart, Revival Center, and DHS, sponsored 53 children, this year for “shop with a cop”. Special thanks to pastor Michael Jones, JoAnn Trotter, Walmart staff and all the officers who participated.

This was a very rewarding experience for all involved, both children and adults.

Friday evening, around 7 pm, the Pendleton Inn Apartments, located at the Arkansas River Bridge, east of Dumas, was the scene of a small explosion, followed by a fire that destroyed 8 housing units. (more…)
