The meeting of the Koinonia 4-H club was held at Living Word Fellowship, October 10 at 4:30 PM. This month, the club elected new officers, and each person who ran for an office had to speak in front of the entire club, telling why they wanted to be in that office.

Sanitation routes will run as follows.

Tuesday route on Wednesday
Wednesday route on Thursday
Thursday route on Friday

The city of Monticello will be closed Monday, October 14th.

Monday’s trash routes will run on Wednesday.

Transfer station will be closed.

Burt was well known in the Monticello area, as well.

A 77-year-old Monticello businessman was seriously injured around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, in a two vehicle collision near the overpass on HWY 425 South.

Just before midnight Thursday, Monticello dispatch received the 911 phone call reporting a stolen car on North Gabbert St.

The car, The 2001 Acura, was reported to be stolen by particular person, who the complainant named.

 Around 7:15,, Tuesday morning, Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched, along with SEEMS and MASI ambulances, to the report of a wreck involving a Cadillac sedan and a Ford Expedition, at the intersection of HWY 278 and I-530, west of Monticello.
