Shortly after 4 PM, Thursday, a car fire was reported on Sam Carter Road, near Wilmar.
A Drew County Sheriffs Deputy was the first to respond, reporting that another (locked) car parked nearby, and a home approximately 30 feet away, were possibly at risk.
The Wilmar fire department responded, extinguished the blaze, and kept it from spreading to the other vehicle or home.
