Drew Central fourth graders act out the trapping behavior of the Venus flytrap plant. The Venus flytrap is a carnivorous plant- it’s a Meat Eater! Students learned it catches its prey (insects and arachnids) with a trapping structure. The structure is triggered by tiny hairs on their inner surfaces.
One student played the role of the plant while another student played the role of the food. Students learned the trap only snaps shut after the second contact within twenty seconds.
BPS delivers legal documents to Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Drew & Desha Counties.
Several area fall festivals and other activities will begin tomorrow. Many of them are posted below, make plans to attend different events.

9:20 pm- CCC just experienced a DDOS attack which is affecting internet and IP delivery of Little Rock Broadcast TV stations.
We are working diligently to mitigate the attack.
