The Southeast Arkansas Concert Association will kick off its 2015-16 season with “America, My Home Sweet Home: An Evening with Charles Graham and Friends” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, at the UAM Fine Arts Center.
Around 9:15, Tuesday night, the driver of this Toyota Avalon lost control of the vehicle as it was the northbound on Highway 83 near Coleman. The road had recently been covered with pea gravel for maintenance.
MAC hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremnony with the Chamber of Commerce, recently, to celebrate.
Ryburn Automotive Superstore and Commercial Bank are partnering with the University of Arkansas at Monticello for the third straight year to host the UAM Sports Fan Day on Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the lot at Ryburn Automotive on Highway 425 South in Monticello.
Coaches and student-athletes from all of UAM’s intercollegiate athletics teams, as well as cheerleaders and the Boll Weevil mascot, will participate in the event. Fan Day is open to the public at no charge.
I’m sure everybody appreciated the rain we got last week and the first part of this week. It really helped us out, and kept me from having to put the county under a burn ban, at least for now.
