UAM Professor Tom Richard was recognized as the 2018 Higher Education Educator of the Year at the awards ceremony of the Arkansas Art Educators Association Conference on November 1, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Peggy Doss, UAM’s Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs said, “Mr. Richard is so very deserving of this award that recognizes his outstanding talent and his distinguished service to the profession. Jacob Appleberry of Tillar was among the 74 Farm Bureau leaders participating in the State Resolutions Committee meeting Nov. 7-8 at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.
Clinton D. Young, Associate Professor of History at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, has been recognized by the American Musicological Society for his scholarship. His first book, Music Theater and Popular Nationalism in Spain, 1880-1930, received the Robert M. Stevenson Award at the recent annual meeting of the AMS in San Antonio, Texas.
