Local Student Headed to VEX Robotics World Championship With Arkansas Tech University

Arkansas Tech University will be among approximately 50 higher education institutions from around the globe that will compete in the 2020 VEX U Robotics World Championship April 22-25 in Louisville, Ky.

A team of 11 ATU students punched their ticket to the world championship by winning the overall excellence award at a qualifying tournament hosted by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Dec. 7. Read the rest of this entry »

AT&T Related Phone Outage Hits Monticello, Again

Since 10:30, this morning, one of the often re-occurring business related phone outages has hit Monticello and Drew County.

Reports indicate that landlines can call landlines, but AT&T cell phones are not able to contact non-AT&T business landlines.

Local Vyve representatives have described this as an AT&T based problem. More information will be posted when it becomes available.

Free Apples & Bread from Food Donation

If you missed yesterday’s food pantry delivery day at Revival Center, there is a pallet full of apples and several boxes of bread, still available.

They are located at the intersection of Pine and Jackson, self-service, next to the vanports.
