Saturday, around 11 AM, the driver of this Ford Ranger pick up lost control of her vehicle on Watt Street, which is known for its narrow lanes and deep ditches.

MPD worked the accident. The driver was uninjured, Reggie‘s Wrecker towed the vehicle.

Last Friday around 6:30 in the morning, the driver of this eastbound Ford lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road way into the tree line on Highway 278 W., just east of the I 530 intersection.

When Drew County deputies arrived, the driver had fled the scene. Rangel towed the wrecked vehicle.

Storm Damage Reported Across County

There were two separate severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Drew County last night, which resulted in heavy rains and strong winds, causing damage across Monticello and the eastern half of the county.

Our appreciation goes out to all of the law-enforcement and first responders who braved the harsh weather and hard work to clean the roadways and help others in need, during the time.

Everyone from city and county employees, to volunteer firefighters, to on duty law-enforcement, to friends and neighbors. Thank you!
