Since 10:30, this morning, one of the often re-occurring business related phone outages has hit Monticello and Drew County.
Reports indicate that landlines can call landlines, but AT&T cell phones are not able to contact non-AT&T business landlines.
Local Vyve representatives have described this as an AT&T based problem. More information will be posted when it becomes available.

County attorney Cliff Gibson also explained that the Contract calls for the counties, not LaSalle, to provide jail services to state.
He then explained that there are legal remedies to prevent the county from “being on the hook” for state payments, in the case of the state falling behind on prison payments as they have with counties in the past.
