Friday, at 6:45 AM, Monticello firefighters were dispatched to a truck and trailer fire, located on Highway 278 W., just past the Monticello Sports Complex entrance.
The vehicle was fully engulfed upon their arrival.
No injuries were reported.

It is believed that after the deer in the above story left the District Court building, it then ran north on Main Street 2 1/2 blocks, and entered the open door of Bella Luna restaurant, as they were moving furniture and fixtures out of the building.
It appears that as the deer entered the restaurant, it saw several people, causing it to enter the enclosed front dining room area, where it laid down.
MPD was notified, quickly arrived, and notified AG&F, who dispatched a local person familiar with dealing with deer, to remove the deer from the area.
