Overpass Repair Expected Soon, After Being Hit By Skidder Hauler

The Arkansas Department of Transportation is planning to repair the damage done to the HWY 425 overpass, which occurred in mid October, in the very near future (around Thanksgiving).

Tthe heavy bridge division of the department describes the damage to the Monticello Overpass as “cosmetic“ and does not pose any threat or danger to safety.

Specific schedule updates and any construction detour information will be posted as it becomes available.

City Trash Pick-Up On Wednesday, For Thursday & Friday Routes

Due to the Thanksgiving holidays, City trash routes for Thursday & Friday will be picked up on Wednesday.

Since both routes are being run on Wednesday, please have your carts by the road at 7 am.

Also remember the double route may cause some customers to be served late. Thanks for understanding. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
