Drew Central fourth graders had a special guest reader, Arkansas House of Representative for District 9, LeAnne Burch.  She read the New York Times Best Seller “Grace for President” by Kelly DiPucchio.

This book gave the fourth graders a fun introduction to the American electoral system but also taught them the value of hard work, courage, and independent thought- and offered an inspiring example of how to choose our leaders.

Officials of the Prairie Grove Community Center held the drawing for a homemade quilt after the Labor Day weekend.  Featuring horses, the quilt was made by Janice Chavis Lloyd, who donated it to raise money for upkeep of the Center.  (more…)

The Monticello Riding Club Flag Team will perform Friday and Saturday night, during the Drew County Fair Rodeo. The team members are (top row) Mylynn Holstead, Lucy Cingolani, Chloe Pinkus, Rose Mencer (bottom) Lynn Holstead, Lori Cingolani, Laken Britton and Mary Mencer.

$1 Night at the Fair is Wednesday night.

The annual Drew County Fair gospel music night will be held Wednesday, September 19 at 6:30 pm.

Gospel singers, musicians, praise dancers are invited to take part.

Choir, solo, duet, quartet and all genres of Gospel are welcome.
