With the ending of school, comes the opening of the pool and splash pad.

The city pool at City Park is open, 7 days/week, starting today, from 1–6 pm.

The splash pad, located at Jordan Park, opens from 12:30 – 6:30 pm.

Boy Scouts troop 67 attended Monday night’s Drew County quorum court meeting, to see how local government works. After the meeting, the Boy Scouts met and had photos made with the JP’s.

The City of Monticello Police Department is currently seeking both Full and Part-time Dispatchers. Salary Range: $30,804.32 – $36,781.97.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Must be able to work swing shift hours, weekends and holidays. On the job training as well as out of town training required. Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid Arkansas driver’s license. (more…)

Congratulations to Quincy Ross, the new Circuit Judge for the 10th judicial district.

Ross defeated James Hamilton, of Hamburg and Crossett, by a districtwide vote of 1722/1277, Tuesday night.
