David and Marilyn Patrick, owners of Patrick’s Spee-D-Lube, announced the ground breaking of Patrick’s Auto Wash on August 16th. The Auto Wash will be located at 125 Westgate Drive behind Patrick’s Spee-D-Lube.
Employees will guide automobiles on to a 90 foot conveyor system where the auto will be prepped, washed and dried. It will be equipped with state of the art brushing equipment by MacNeil Car Wash Systems and will include Pre-Soak, Soft-Touch Wash, High Pressure Side Blaster, Tire / Wheel Scrubbers and Lava Wax with Carnuba. The Tire Shine will be applied along with Simoniz Double Bond Protectant and 175 MPH Dryers.
The tunnel will accommodate 80 cars per hour allowing 3 cars in the tunnel at any given time therefore the complete wash, wax & dry time will be around 3 minutes.
FREE vacuum stations will be available after automobiles exit the tunnel. The Auto Wash will ALWAYS have employees on site to assist customers with any needs they may have. Read the rest of this entry »

Road Re-surfacing near Plantersville

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Drew County.
The purpose of this project is to resurface approximately 3.5 miles of County Roads 89 and 97 near Plantersville.
Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel Company of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $440,306.40.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2018.
