Update – Double Shooting in Monticello, Tuesday Night.

According to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, The Monticello Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a residence on Willis Street last night where two people were injured due to the gunfire. Both of the injured persons were sent to Drew Memorial and transferred to other facilities and at last report were in stable condition. Read the rest of this entry »

During the fall meeting of the University of Arkansas at Monticell Board of Visitors, three new officers were elected. Mellie Jo Owen of Monticello will serve as chairperson, J.
