The quorum court will hold a budget committee meeting October 1, at 6 PM in the conference room at Davis tractor company on Airport Road.

There will be a tour of the building starting at 5 PM.

Officials of the Prairie Grove Community Center held the drawing for a homemade quilt after the Labor Day weekend.  Featuring horses, the quilt was made by Janice Chavis Lloyd, who donated it to raise money for upkeep of the Center.  (more…)

At the recent Democratic county committee meeting, local attorney Sara Hartness explained each of the upcoming ballot issues that will be on the November election ballot.

Due to recent rains, the bridge replacement of Garnet Road has taken extra time, but according to Judge Robert Akin, is now open.

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Drew County.

The purpose of this project is to resurface approximately 3.5 miles of County Roads 89 and 97 near Plantersville.

Pine Bluff Sand & Gravel Company of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $440,306.40.

Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in mid 2018.
