The Appleberry family of the Tillar Community has been chosen Drew County’s Farm Family of the Year.
The Appleberrys raise soybeans, rice, and corn on 3,400 acres. Some of acreage has been in their family for 74 years. They also raise cattle

Last Tuesday, Siemens and the City of Monticello met in Little Rock in an attempt to mediate hte situation, to avoid a lawsuit, by reaching a compromise.
It appears that on the way out of town, Siemens filed that lawsuit in the U.S. Eastern District Curt.
