According to Glenda Nichols of the Chamber of Commerce, this is the first time that a home has been nominated by 3 different sources, during the same month.

The winner is selected by the Town & Country Garden Club, from nominations made to the chamber.

SeaArk Boat Employees In Haiti Working To “Make Life Better”

This past week 30 employees from several Correct Craft companies including five employees from SeaArk Boats in Monticello traveled to Pignon, Haiti, on an employee service trip. The employees left June 30th and returned July 3rd.

Remembering a Friend – KHBM Listeners Tribute to Bro. Larry Doggett – Video Slideshow

MLive would like to take this opportunity, to remember a friend of many local residents.

Bro. Larry Doggett went to be with the Lord on the Saturday after July 4, 2014.

Bro. Larry is remembered as the morning DJ at KHBM, Pastor of life Church, a school bus driver for Monticello School District, the chaplain for the local jail, and president of the Drew County Ministerial Alliance.

On the following Monday, KHBM Radio 93.7 held a special community call-in show, Monday morning, where listeners were invited to call and share their memories of and tributes to Bro. Larry Doggett.

This video includes the calls from that program, along with several photos Bro. Larry, “the Round Mound of Sound.”
