Drew Central fourth grade chess team held it’s end of the year tournament. The students learned to play chess the second semester of school.

Drew Central Fourth Graders held the annual Arkansas Words Spelling Bee during a study of Arkansas history. Students had two weeks to study the words before the spelling bee.

NAACP local Branch #6042 hosted a Baccalaureate Ceremony on May 20, 2018 to present its local scholarships. Scholarship Chair, Sheena Garrard, reported “It was our goal to provide a scholarship opportunity for 2018 Seniors who attend Dermott, Drew Central, Monticello, and Warren High Schools. The purpose of the scholarship was to encourage student participation in a post-secondary program of study and to relieve a portion of the financial burden.
