The City of Monticello is currently taking applications for a full-time and part-time Public Works Laborers. Applicants must possess the ability to work independently, be trainable, have good listening skills, knowledge of public works and have a minimum of a high school diploma. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check and drug screen.

At the very end of Monday night’s Tea Party political forum, Priscilla Copelin Abernathy questioned the two men involved in the incident discussed in social media where her supporters had taken down a Laurie Bridewell sign on video. After their presentation, one of the moderators asked if anyone wanted to comment, but the other candidate had left the building.
