According to police reports, on March 5th around 4:30pm, MPD responded to a call about several parties fighting at the Highway 278 trailer park.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Mrs. Gaines, who stated that on the bus her son was “roasting” a female and the only way she could get him to shut up was to spray him with water and they then got into a argument. Read the rest of this entry »

There is currently a water outage, due to a main leak on Winchester Road, affecting Winchester, East Oakland, East Wood and surrounding areas.

Drew Central Elementary and Middle School collected $1,400.23 for Heifer International a SEARK Reading Council’s International project. Heifer International is an Arkansas foundation that provides animals for families in other countries. They train the families to use the animals for the benefit of their families and communities. Each animal that is purchased helps that family have food and income to help provide for their needs.
Ms. Young’s kindergarten class gave the most money for the week at Drew Central Elementary, and Mrs. Ferrell’s fourth period literacy class collected the most money at the Drew Central Middle School.
