The driver of this Buick sedan was traveling east, near Bayou Bartholomew, on Highway 138 near Winchester, yesterday at 4:30 when she lost control of her vehicle. (more…)
Around 7:45 AM, Thursday morning, a city trash truck working its route backed into a Entergy power pole on the west end of Jordan Drive, near the medical complex.
Currently 10 customers are without power, and Entergy is on the scene, however, most of those customers are medical and clinic related.
Power should be restored soon.
Around 7 AM, Monday morning, an unloaded log truck was traveling north on Highway 425 , north of the Monticello city limits, when the fifth-wheel came loose, dropping the trailer in the inside lanes of northbound traffic.
Drew County deputies are on the scene, detouring traffic onto the shoulder.
Please use caution when traveling.
Shortly after 6 AM, Thursday, the driver of this eastbound Chevy trailblazer lost control of their vehicle on Highway 35 West, between Rock Springs and Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
A Drew County Deputy worked the accident, and no injuries were reported.
Just a reminder to drive safely, with the extra traffic this weekend. You don’t have to be doing anything wrong or reckless, to be involved in an accident.
An eastbound loaded chip truck overturned in dead man’s curve, Tuesday morning, around 10 AM.
Sources in the area tell us that Drew County Sheriff Deputies, Arkansas State Troopers, ambulances and Monticello Fire and Rescue responded.
No other details are available.
Big Wrecker of Monticello removed the chip truck.

Around 2 PM, Sunday afternoon, the driver of this westbound Ford pick up lost control of his vehicle, as he was traveling toward Monticello on Highway 35, just east of the 278 bypass.
The Ford left the roadway, and became airborne after colliding with a driveway, narrowly missing a tree. DCSO worked the accident,
MASI responded, but did not transport.
Minutes after 7 AM, Thursday, the driver of this 18-wheeler was traveling north in Drew County on Highway 65, north of Tillar.
He lost control of his tractor – trailer in the ice and snow, causing it to roll over.
DCSO and AHP responded. The driver was reportedly uninjured.
Driving conditions are basically the same today as they were yesterday, please use caution or stay home.
Monday morning, at 8:30, the driver of the Chevy Tahoe lost control of the vehicle in the snow and ice, as they were traveling north on Highway 425 near the Lincoln County line, coming to a stop after it rolled over.
DCSO responded to the scene. The driver was transported to DMH by SEEMS. The Tahoe was removed by Rangle Wrecker.
