$1.5 Million Grant Awarded to Help Build Rural Health Workforce in the South Arkansas Delta

On September 27, 2021, the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) received one of twelve awards made by the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor and the Appalachian Regional Commission. Funding is designed to provide employment and training services to workers and job seekers in the Appalachian and Mississippi Delta regions. (more…)

False Letter About Local Doctor Misleads Patients

An incorrect letter, sent out by United Healthcare insurance company was received by Dr. Tim Simon’s patients, Wednesday.

The letter states that Dr. Simon is no longer a part of Monticello Medical Center, which is not the case.

Dr. Simon told MonticelloLive, this morning, that a letter of apology is being sent by United Healthcare to everyone who received the misleading information, and calls are being made, today, to let his patients know that the letter was totally false.
