First, thank you for your support of changing lives of children in your community and creating a new special event for Monticello. We have made the difficult decision to transition the 5K from an in-person run/walk to a virtual run/walk, where participants can complete the run/walk in their neighborhood, on  treadmill, wherever they usually run or walk. They can send results to us and we will send them a T-shirt and medal.

Funds raised will be invested in recreational supplies and summer activities for the 26 boys and girls, ages 5-18, who live at the Southeast Arkansas Residential Center in Monticello.

Jeremy Woodall is the Campus Minister for the University of Arkansas at Monticello Baptist Collegiate Ministry. He along with his wife Becca, daughter Willow, son Cash, and baby number three (TBD), have served on the campus of UAM since 2016. (more…)

Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services’ 8th annual Turkey Trot will be on Saturday, November 23rd starting at 9 a.m. in Monticello. This year, the race has expanded to include a 10k Run, 5k Run, 5k Walk and Virtual Participation.

The 10k and 5k races will start and end on the Vera Lloyd campus; 745 Old Warren Rd. Monticello, AR. “Virtual” races can be run with friends, family, churches and organizations right from home. Just register online as a Virtual Participant, get your free race shirt and walk or run around your neighborhood!

Monticello 2^nd Chancefur dogs is hosting a new and exciting Calendar Raffle fundraiser. Thanks to generous donations from dozens of local businesses, the rescue will be raffling off over $1200 in gift cards and prizes. (more…)

Advantages of Southeast Arkansas is selling custom wreaths in 2014 as a fundraiser. We will be creating styles for various holidays throughout the year and can take special orders.
