The intent is not to ban food trucks, but to “level the playing field” and ensure quality and safety for local customers and businesses.

A Minute with the Mayor on Food Truck Ordinance

Tuesday, April 25th, 2023

Food truck“First, let me be clear in saying that I support mobile vendors. I think they bring variety, culture, convenience and many other positive aspects. This will allow vendors and property owners as well as City or State entities responsible for the safety of our public, to know the rules as to when, where and how food trucks operate. (more…)

Monday, March 6th, 2023

32D99F55-38C1-4AD4-8759-A11A0F202EE8Friday morning, around 9:15, the train track sensors mistakenly picked up on a rock or other debris near theHighway 425 train crossing, setting off the flashing red lights.

This, in turn, caused the northbound highway traffic control lights to change to constant red, causing a major traffic jam, reaching a quarter-mile to the south.

MPD directed traffic, until city workers brought a four-way stop sign,

Arkansas Midland was notified, and fixed the railroad sensor.
