At Entergy, we put the safety and well-being of our customers at the forefront of everything we do. Unfortunately, we continue to see an increase in fraudsters’ attempts to scam our customers. There have been reports of a person in the area who is imitating an Entergy employee offering solar panels.  This is not someone who works for Entergy.  Please read the following on what to look out for and what to do if you suspect a scam.

After several months of having their future unknown, the Monticello Boys and Girls Club has at least found a temporary home at the American Legion building, located near the VFW and senior citizen center, on Briarcliff Street.

Their former location, the old City Park school, had to be closed by the Monticello school district, due to roof and other issues, that were too expensive to repair.

The search for a permanent location is still underway, but at least the many services that the Boys and Girls Club provides, especially with school starting next week, has a place that meets their needs, when students return.

Entergy Arkansas customers who need help paying their summer utility bills can apply now for up to $475 through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program’s application period runs today through Sept. 30, officials said, or until funds are expended. (more…)
