At 2:17 AM Monday morning, a Monticello man lost his life, as a result of gunshots being fired at the Paradise Apartments on HWY 425, south of Monticello.

Drew Central Elementary Received 2,500 Free Books From UA-Arkansas Reads

5iynbcz0 copy Drew Central Elementary recently received 2,500 free books from an outreach program sponsored by the University of Arkansas – Arkansas Reads program. They provide gently used books to high poverty schools in Arkansas.

DCE will use these books to stock their Library, classroom libraries, and children’s home libraries.

Deen to Seek Re-election as Prosecuting Attorney

It is my privilege and high honor to have since 2001 been your Tenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, serving the citizens of the counties of Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha and Drew.

The safety of our communities and the security of our people and their property will always be uppermost in my mind. This will guide the diligent efforts of my staff and I to remain effective and just prosecutors for Southeast Arkansas.
