According to the AshleyCountyLedger.com, the Ashley County Sheriff’s Department is seeking a warrant against a Monticello woman accusing her of communicating a false alarm.
Landon Calhoun recently celebrated his 8th birthday. He asked for dog food to help feed the dogs being fostered by Monticello 2nd Chancefurdogs volunteers instead of gifts.
As you can see, his friends and family obliged.
Landon is the son of Monica Calhoun and Jay and Leah Maples.
Trent Harmon a 2014 graduate of UAM is the winner of of American Idol’s farewell season.

On October 29, 2012, Elizabeth Ann Davis, age 66 of Warren, was waiting for a train to pass, at the Wilmar train crossing, when suddenly her life came to an end, as a loaded asphalt truck barreling down the highway behind her crashed into her mini-van, killing her instantly.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) today announced that Mainline Health System Inc. of Star City, AR has received NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition for using evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care and long?term, participative relationships.
The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to improve care, improve patients’ experience of care and reduce costs. Medical homes foster ongoing partnerships between patients and their personal clinicians, instead of approaching care as the sum of episodic office visits. Each patient’s care is overseen by clinician-led care teams that coordinate treatment across the health care system. Tuesday was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, for the newly renovated Monticello senior citizen center at McCloy park. The center was newly renovated, to meet the needs of Monticello’s older residents, providing meals and activities.
