A group of Star City community leaders has donated $75,0000 to create the Star Daze Festival Scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Monticello Branch Library Collected Sweaters For Drive

The Monticello Branch Library collected sweaters and other winter clothing items during the month of November as part of the nation wide charity event inspired by the beloved Mr. Rodgers of Mr. Rodgers’ Neighborhood on PBS.
During the sweater drive, the library was able to collect 75 items to be given out through various charity organizations who help clothe adults and children in the Monticello and Drew County area. Thank you to every one who participated and brought in items, we look forward to holing this event again next year!
