At last month’s City Council meeting, the most discussed topic was the proposed burning ordinance, specifically of leaves and debris.
Issues discussed included how permits must be
obtained from the fire department before any burning can take place.
The photo was taken Thursday morning, as a man was apparently burning down what was left of a former residence.
District Judge Bruce Anderson has announced that the District Court building will reopen on Monday, June 1, 2020. The District Court office will be open during regular hours, which are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Read the rest of this entry »

The governor did announce that team sports can resume June 1. This does not mean that we will start games that day.
The board will be meeting very soon to decide an official start date.
The complex has been and still is closed and we know teams need some practice time.
We will let all coaches know the plan as soon as we can.
Unfortunately, COVID slowed the printing of the Drew Central yearbooks and we wont have them until Mid June.
We will announce on the district’s facebook page and with a phone blast when they will be available.
Pre-orders will be held for those who ordered them. Extra books will be available for $45 on a first come first served basis on the day of distribution.
