MLive spoke to ARDOT, yesterday, and confirmed that road construction will continue for the next couple of months.
Johnsville Sand & Gravel will continue from the 425/278 intersection, milling and overlaying Highway 278 to Wilmar. They will then return to Monticello, doI gotta the same to Gaines & McCloy Streets.
They will then proceed east on Highway 278 past Dead Man’s Curve.

Beginning at 6 PM tonight, and continuing until approximately 6 AM, Tuesday morning, ARDOT will be performing maintenance at the 278/425 intersection, near Ray’s & Walgreens.
Traffic will be detoured, and occasionally stopped, as needed, for grinding and overlaying.
Please prepare for this, as you plan your evening activities.
