Sink Holes in Davis Street

Around 5 PM, Thursday, residents on Davis Street in Monticello reported sinkholes in the roadway.

Monticello police responded, blocking the path, until the street crew responded, and completed repairs later in the evening.

The sink holes are caused by water leaks that erode the dirt, surrounding the waterlines.

The smaller hole, shown here, was marked with cones, to be repaired later.
