Mason Hill Home Destroyed by Fire

Minutes before 2:00, Sunday afternoon, the Monticello Fire Department received a page-out to the Mason Hill area to battle a home fire.

The cause of the fire is not known, at this time, but the residence was a total loss.

Election Filing Underway

The deadline for candidates for the County offices, the City of Wilmar and annual School board elections is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1.

Democrat and Republican candidates must file by 12 noon, Tuesday; non-partisan candidates must file by 3 PM, Tuesday.

City of Monticello positions file in May.

The cities of Winchester and Tillar will not file until August.

I am announcing my candidacy for Constable-Marion Township. Since I was 18 years old, I have lived a life of public service. I served 10 years in the Active Duty component of the United States Air Force and have spent the last 4 years in the Air Force Reserves. I moved back home to Arkansas in 2019 and settled around my family in Monticello.
