City Of Monticello Applying For Grant To Renovate Basketball & Tennis Courts At McCloy Park

457304206_935871651914797_6172551408024346188_n The City of Monticello is currently applying for a $500,000 Matching Park Grant through the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism. The grant will be used to renovate the basketball and tennis courts at McCloy Park.

The plan includes the removal and replacement of the current basketball, tennis, and pickle ball courts. The plan also includes adding benches, new fencing, and an asphalt parking lot around the courts for additional parking and ADA accessibility. Read the rest of this entry »

State Supreme Court Chief Justice Visits Courthouse

State Supreme Court Chief Justice Dan Kemp recently visited the Monticello courthouse, and gave a brief presentation dealing with several topics, including: Strategic plan of court system, Satisfaction of court experience, Statewide e-filing, Hope to build new case management system, Drug courts, and Opioid treatment kits

Marty Sullivan, administrator of the state court system then discussed getting district court onto court connect and other topics.

Pete Hollingsworth, also, with the state, discussed court security programs.

The three guests are shown in the photo above with Circuit Judges Puryear, Gibson, Ross, and French.
