Local Man Charged with Attempted Capital Murder

A Monticello man was stabbed multiple times, and assaulted with several household “weapons” recently, after he tried to separate a man and the girlfriend that he as allegedly fighting with.
The victim received a life-changing beating, and the suspect’s charges now include Attempted Capital Murder.

Donald E. Jameson is also charged with first-degree battery, resisting arrest, domestic battery, terroristic threatening, and witness retaliation. His bond was set at $200,000.
