The Weevils traveled to Searcy, Arkansas to take on Harding University in a non-conference mid-week game on Tuesday. The Boll Weevil offense proved dominant as UAM came out with a 15-0 win over the Bisons for Head Coach John Harvey‘s 500th career win.

Coach Harvey took the helm of UAM Baseball back in 2011, claiming his first of 346 total current wins with the program against Tougaloo College. Harvey has been a head coach since 2005, starting at Henderson State University, where he led the Reddies through the 2005-2010 seasons.

Brianna Williams is a first-year student majoring in Ag Business at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM).  She plans to compete in goat tie, barrel racing, and break-away roping.   She is excited about the fall rodeo schedule and even more excited about the improved horse barn on campus where she’ll house her horse. The West Monroe, Louisiana native said she visited the horse stalls this past spring.     “They were all panel stalls in there, and these, I mean, whoever built them, they are boarded stalls, and I mean, they are perfect stalls in a way. “Super-duper nice,” said Williams of the new horse stalls. “They are some of the nicest stalls I’ve seen.” (more…)

The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team played their third game of the 2023 season on Saturday evening when the Boll Weevils traveled to Great American Conference foe Harding University. UAM came out of the contest with a final score of 59-19 and their first loss on the year. The University of Arkansas at Monticello football team played their first match-up of the 2023 season on Thursday evening. The Boll Weevils traveled to Alva, Oklahoma to face Great American Conference member Northwestern Oklahoma State University. UAM came out of the match with a 49-24 win to open the year.
