Master Gardener online training for new members, will be available beginning January 2 and will end March 31, 2019.  The deadline to sign up for this training is December 1, 2018.  There will be a suggested timeline for the course week-by-week, but you can work at your own pace, as long as you finish the course by March 31. Brittany and Antonio will exchange vows in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 24.

Several city and county candidates for local offices took part in the Democratic Party of Drew County’s “breakfast on the Square”, Saturday morning.

The event, although sponsored by the Democratic party, welcomed all candidates,  as well as any voter who wanted to visit or enjoy a breakfast burrito.

Southeast Arkansas Community Action Corporation Governing Board of Directors will meet in a Special Call Board Meeting Tuesday, October 30, 2018. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be held at the SEACAC Complex located at 1208 North Myrtle Street in Warren, AR. The meeting is open to the public. SEACAC serves Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha and Drew Counties in Southeast Arkansas.

Saturday around 10:30 am near the Jackson & Shelton Street intersection,  there was a thanks playpen filled with women’s clothes, shoes and my grandson’s baby quilt.

It was set outside for a relative to pick up, but it seems someone thought it was discarded. Whoever picked it up, is asked to return it, especially the blanket, because of its  sentimental value.
