SEARK Reading Council hosted their second meeting of the year January 22, 2024 at Drew Central Middle School Library.  SEARK sponsored a writing contest for grades second through twelfth grade. The winners of the Young Writers’ Competition were recognized and read their winning writing pieces to the audience.

Students wrote an expository piece titled “Which famous person would you like to meet and Why?”. Parents, relatives and members were on hand to celebrate the students’ accomplishments.  Local winners were submitted to a state writing contest sponsored by the Arkansas Literacy Association. Winners of this event will be honored this summer at the Council Leadership Institute for the Arkansas Literacy Association. (more…)

Mainline Health Systems Inc. (MHSI) recently announced that Elyse Knobloch has been named the Chief Financial Officer of Mainline Health Systems Inc. Knobloch, who joined the Mainline team in 2023, will succeed long-time CFO Tafta McCain. Elyse Knobloch brings nine years of finance experience in healthcare to the position, having worked previously as the Director of Finance for Mainline Health Systems and as the CFO for Delta Counseling, before joining the MHSI team.
