Most people who were born in the 60s, and possibly the 70s, remember when toys were made of real metal.

Tonka trucks were one of the favorites

What appears to be a full-size real-life Tonka truck was seen traveling through Monticello, last week.

It brought back good memories!.

This Nevada license plate was seen at a Monticello restaurant, a few days ago.

Chances are, it is possibly a Christmas trip, to visit a relative.

MonticelloLive again sponsored the Santa Train at the Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade, where hundreds of youngsters, along with parents and grandparents celebrated Christmas activities.

We also donated toys, again, to the Junior Auxiliary Christmas Toy Drive, at Ryburn Motor Company.

We are proud to be a daily part of the Monticello Community.

This morning, a family found this cat, with a collar, in their driveway at 478 MeadowView Dr.

If it’s yours, it wants to come home.

Around 6:30 PM, Wednesday evening, Drew County Sheriffs Deputies were dispatched to an “almost rollover” involving a loaded log truck, at the intersection of S. Allie Rd. and Highway 278, approaching Wilmar.

When deputies arrived, no one was injured, and crews were on the way to unload the logs and cleared the roadway.
