ARDOT will begin milling the town square beginning this Sunday, April 19, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m. they will mill this area Sunday night, Monday and Tuesday nights tentatively beginning at the same time on the subsequent nights. ATTENTION * WATER LEAK *The City of Monticello is working on a water main leak that has occurred and is causing low water pressure in the Parkwood Subdivision / North Hyatt street areas. City staff has responded and will be working on repairing the issue.

On Monday, March 23, 2026 from 9am until 1 pm the City of Monticello will be repairing the large drainage culvert located on Mason Hill near the intersection of Mason Hill and East Willis Street. The closing is expected to last from 9am until 1pm.
All traffic on Mason Hill will be shut down during this time while this infrastructure improvement project is completed. Door hangers, robo-calls and other forms of notification have been utilized, but we want to be as thorough as possible to avoid any inconvenience for the residents of the neighborhood.

City crews will be working in the late evening and at night to prepare manholes for the upcoming paving of Main Street. The work is being performed at night so that the work will have less impact on daytime traffic. Please drive carefully and help watch for city workers as they work to rebuild Monticello’s roads and infrastructure.
